Diane Rousseau is a conservator in private practice, based on the Mass MoCA museum campus in North Adams, Massachusetts. She most recently completed the treatment of the newly-acquired Tiffany window, the Hartwell Memorial, for the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work includes conservation on windows now at the Worcester Art Museum, the MFA Boston, the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass, and in many private collections. Her studio also treats glass vessels, porcelain, and related vitreous materials. She is a Professional Associate of the American Institute of Conservation (Objects Specialty Group) and a published author/ co-author for both ICON and ICOM-CC (Glass and Ceramics Group). Her postgraduate studies in 1987, at Vauxhall College in London, has been supplemented by ongoing coursework in both conservation and advanced glass fusing, in order to enable new techniques in loss compensation.
